Yesterday I got recovery from Romania. Herring Gull ringing
by me (01/05/2012) in Lublin province on the Vistula river (breeding colony)
was found on 08/02/2014 in Bucharest, Romania. So, bird wintering in area of the Black
Sea, which is very unusual for this species.

Vistula River, summer 2013
Romania, Bucharest, 08.02.2014
Maybe the bird is a hybrid (F2 or backross cach x arg) but
some influence other
species is barely
detectable - if
it all.
